A mostly unfinished basement gets a complete upgrade, to add extra living space for a young family. Started with stripping the basement down to the concrete walls where we discovered some cracking. Cracks were braced & epoxy-filled before applying sprayfoam insulation. A new egress window was cut in to make room for a guest bedroom. The guest bedroom was insulated for extra sound dampening, including the ceiling. In the main area, we sprayed the joists black for a cool effect, but it also had the added benefit of being budget friendly. Cabinets were added along the back wall to maximize the storage space in a smaller basement.
